School of Motion Animated Characters
School of motion reached out to me to develop and create animations that help encourage and celebrate both their students & faculty. Fortunately, I’ve been both a student and a TA for School of Motion, so I really wanted to encompass the feeling of what it’s like to work through an online course & emphasize that you’re apart of a team.
This was my first time working with Bodymovin and exporting animations as JSON files. It was a very fun limitation and helped me keep the characters more simple.

I worked on a few different approaches but we kept coming back to these triangle characters that I sketched based on the School of Motion logo.
Some elements had to be hand drawn and then traced with shape layers.
